DON'T Miss "Evanston Sings" This Year!

If you've never attended Evanston Sings, this is the year to do it! You'll be treated to an incredible, uplifting concert of gospel music and support Evanston's Youth and Young Adult Division and its Mayor's Youth Summer Employment Program, which places more than 600 young people in jobs every year.

The concert will be held next Friday, June 8 in the Evanston Township High School (ETHS) auditorium and features a choir of singers from several Evanston churches. In addition to amazing music, vendors will be on hand selling anything from jewelry to chocolate to body lotions and wallets and everything in between!

The event is sponsored by Evanston Own It, which was founded in 2015 to deter young people from violence and to create a greater sense of community.

Tickes are: $5 for youth and seniors and $10 general admission and are available at the door--or email Sherry Gregory at lynnshay2@yahoo.

Don't miss it. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. so you can mingle and support vendors. The concert starts at 7 p.m.

Here's a taste of the concert from last year. Enjoy!
