Evanstonians get a taste of Sweet Honey
A busload of Evanstonians snailed (if that's a word) our way down to the University of Chicago's Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts in heavy traffic, sang all the way, created community, and had an uplifting and restorative time singing together with the Chicago Black Catholic Choir and Sweet Honey in the Rock.

Thank you, Allie Payne and Silveria Steele for providing and pouring the wine!
Thanks, Eileen Hogan Heineman and Sandra Davis for song leading our spirituals and protest songs and Hava Nagilah ... and for helping me sing the Hebrew song Hinei MaTov uMaNaim--'how good and pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to be together in joy and harmony.'
Thanks, Kimberly Holmes-Ross for the popcorn, mints and water and for being my partner in crime filling the bus.
Thanks to everyone else who showed up with joy!
Here's a peek at our journey, the sights and sounds of the Chicago Blacks Catholic Choir, and a taste of ... Sweet Honey in the Rock!
