Tomorrow: Help Build Support for a School in the 5th Ward
Dear Evanston,
This Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to noon, the folks at STEM School- Evanston are looking for 50 volunteers who are passionate about returning a school to the 5th ward to help them canvass door to door to pass out flyers and help educate people about why they believe Evanston needs a STEM school in the 5th ward.

WHAT
You'll receive canvass training and then go out into the community to distribute 5th Ward STEM Community School flyers and collect signatures in support of a school.
WHY
To educate the community on the history of the closing of Evanston's Foster school and why there's a need for a school located in the 5th ward-- specifically the need to fix current busing and educational inequity and create equitable educational access and experiences throughout Evanston. Canvassing will help spread the word, build support, and build momentum to return a school to the 5th ward.
WHERE
The one-hour canvass training session will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1430 South Blvd, Evanston.
At the training, you'll be assigned an area in which to canvass.
