FAN Event: Emily Bazelon on the imbalance of power.

In a discussion sure to resonate in our current national climate, New York Times Magazine writer and Yale Law School lecturer Emily Bazelon reveals the imbalance of power between prosecutors and defense lawyer, and the injustice caused when prosecutors -- even more than judges -- decide who goes free and who goes to prison, sometimes even who lives and who dies.

Bazelon will be interviewed by Maria Hawilo, Distinguished Professor in Residence at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Hawilo is a noted advocate in the juvenile justice system, teaching and researching about its vast overreach and its disparate impact on African-American and Latinx youth.

Tonight at 7 p.m., Evanston Township High School (ETHS).

Another outstanding presentation by FAN - Family Action Network.
