2019 Nationwide Vigils and Events to End Gun Violence
If you're concerned about gun violence, victims, and survivors, you'll want to participate in the 2019 Nationwide Vigils and Events to End Gun Violence on Saturday, December 7.

In Evanston, the event will take place at Lake Street Church of Evanston, 607 Lake Street.
Speak for Safety Coalition-Illinois and the Illinois Gun Violence Prevention Coalition will host a training session on the Firearms Restraining Order (a new law that allows family members to request that firearms be removed from a loved one who may be a rail to themselves or others) at 3 p.m. followed by a vigil at 4:15 p.m. that will mark the anniversary of the shooting in Newtown, CT and honor all victims and survivors of gun violence.
Evanson speakers are Alan Nick Scott, father of Kaylyn Pryor, who was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on November 2, 2015 and Dr. Traci Armer Kurtzer, physician and anti-gun-violence activist.
