Evanstonians rally for Impeachment

A crowd of about 800 people braved the bitter cold earlier tonight at Evanston's Fountain Square to rally a day in advance of the vote for Donald Trump's impeachment.

Evanston was just one of more than 500 cities throughout the country in which rallies took place this evening.

Evanstonians young and old held their signs high chanting "Hey, hey, ho, ho, Donald Trump has got to go," and “No-one is above the law."

Organized by Indivisible Evanston, speakers State Senator Laura Fine, Daniel Biss, Water Reclamation District Commissioner Cam Davis, MSNBC's Jill Wine-Banks, and Michael Nabors, president, Evanston/North Shore Branch NAACP, and Pastor at Second Baptist Evanston addressed the crowd encouraging people to mobilize, canvass, and vote in the next election.
