Memorial services scheduled for MLK, Jr. Day.

How will you and your family honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr this year?

Two memorial services will take place on Sunday, January 19, both at 3 p.m:

Second Baptist Evanston, Beth Emet The Free Synagogue, and Grace Lutheran Church's event will unite the community against the rise of antisemitism. Dr. Michael Nabors, senior pastor at Second Baptist will be the keynote preacher, with worship and theater arts by Beth Emet, Grace Lutheran, and SBC. The event will be held at Alice Millar Chapel.

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre and Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center will host an event featuring master of ceremonies Nia Dillard, keynote speaker Pastor Monte' L. G. Dillard, Sr. of First Church of God Christian Life Center, and musical selections by First Church of God's youth choir and Anita Baker and Felicia Patton.

Interfaith Action of Evanston will hold its Walk for Warmth from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on January 20.

Walk two miles with your family along the route of the six faith communities that host IAE's shelter.
