How do parents of Black children with IEPs make decisions about their child's education?

That's a question Northwestern University sociology researcher and PhD student Gershwin Penn is asking for a study he's conducting on how parents of Black children make decisions about their child's education and how they advocate for their children with school employees.

If you're the parent or guardian of a Black or African-American child who attends school in Evanston/Skokie School District 65, Penn would like to do a short interview with you.

If you're interested in this opportunity (for which you will also be given a $20 gift card to Target or Amazon), please contact Gershwin here.

Phone and text # and additional information are provided in attached flier.
