The page will be regularly updated with information as Northwestern and Evanston respond to the international outbreak of COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus.

Illinois officials confirmed the eighth positive case of COVID-19 in Cook County Tuesday afternoon, according to a statement from state Gov. JB Pritzker. The total number of confirmed cases in Illinois was 19 as of Wednesday morning. There has not yet been a confirmed case in Evanston.
