The Chessmen Club of the North Shore, Inc., Inc. has postponed its gala that was set for this Saturday night. In an email, Chessmen said it would celebrating the achievements of this year's honorees-- former Youth and Young Adult Division Manager Kevin Brown and retired coach and teacher Donald Michelin--and students at a Summer Soiree.

Youth Job Center's annual gala will now be a virtual event. Mark your calendars for 6 p.m., April 23rd for its virtual annual benefit, "Opportunity Knocks."
"We decided the most important thing is for us to continue to provide support for young people in whatever way we can," said YJC Executive Director Karen Demorest in an email. "We still will ask for your support. We still will provide an interesting program. And we will think of creative ways for you to experience this, whether in small groups in your neighborhood or in your own home."
