Cancelled: April 14th Book Group
Dear Evanston,
We have decided to cancel our April 14 book group, given the situation with COVID19.
I’m so disappointed because our book group gatherings are always a highlight for me and I’ll miss seeing everyone and discussing the really powerful book, “Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers her Superpower,” by Brittney Cooper.
Please, if you can, get a copy from the Evanston Public Library or from Bookends & Beginnings in the next few days so that you can read it, or download it from Audible. Cooper narrates her book and it’s great to hear her voice and delivery.
I’m also disappointed because we won’t get to enjoy Noir d'Ebene Chocolat et Patisserie’s delicious food and dessert. Please consider ordering in from Shannon Sudduth via Grub Hub, or, if you can pick up at Family Focus Evanston, give her a call. Our small businesses need all of us right now!
Here’s her Grub Hub link.
And her menu is below.
Most of all, let’s remember to wash our hands, bump shoes or elbows instead of shaking hands or hugging, keep our “social distance,” and check on our neighbors who may need our help or support.
