After reading about fire that destroyed Evanston family’s home, he gave them his paycheck.

Chicago Tribune columnist Heidi Stevens writes about Jeron Dorsey's gesture to the Jackson family after they lost their apartment to a fire on December 23.

“I’m a guy that’s really strong on faith,” Dorsey said. “I asked God for guidance to ease my emotions and it came to my heart, ‘You have to do more.’ I thought, ‘What can I sacrifice for this family?’ And the first thing that came to my mind was my paycheck ... I’m a strong believer if you can do more, you should do more,” he continued. “Especially when it’s for the good of society.”
