Illinois announced 1,018 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 today, the first time the state’s new daily cases topped 1,000 since June 5. The tally brought the total number of confirmed cases in Illinois to 150,450.

The high number of cases came with a record high number of test results released: 36,180. Twenty new deaths were reported today.
