Drumming, yoga, lots of free, high-quality Black children's books all at Dawes Park this Saturday
Dear Evanston is thrilled to co-sponsor this community event featuring Brown Books & Paint Brushes and Real Men Charities and organized by Robin Rue Simmons 5th Ward Alderman.
Bring the family to Dawes Park, on the lake, 1700 Sheridan Road from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, July 18 for drumming, yoga for kids and families, an ancestral healing rally, food, fun, and giveaways, and a special libation by Evanston's Dr. Gilo Kwesi Cornell Logan.
You'll also meet the folks from Stem-School Evanston who are working to bring a school to Evanston's 5th ward, Kingsway Preparatory School, and the Evanston Public Library.

Face coverings are required and hand sanitizer will be provided by KOVAL Distillery.
