Evanston Cov-AID 2020 will feature local musicians and support Evanston Community Rapid Response Fund
A group of recent Evanston Township High School (ETHS) graduates have joined forces to host Evanston Cov-AID 2020, a three-day virtual concert series featuring some local Evanston musicians.
The group, founded by Ben Morton, class of 2015, has partnered with the Evanston Community Foundation to support local relief efforts for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
ECF recently launched a $1 million challenge grant for the fund and all proceeds from the live-stream event will go to local nonprofit organizations who are serving those most in need.
The virtual event will include performers Ava Suppelsa, The Foons, Cub-J, Rub N’ Alc, Chicken Bone, Wilson Mather-Glass, Trevor Zemsteff, Friko, Roger Dat, and others.
The event will display a range of music genres from rock and pop, to electronic music and hip hop. The artists will be streaming from all over the world from Nashville to Dublin.
WHEN: Three-part concert series May 28, May 29, and June 6, beginning at 6 p.m.
