Get paid to tutor at D65 schools.
Dear Evanston,
Do you know that you can tutor Evanston/Skokie School District 65 elementary school children--and get paid?
Evanston resident Karen Courtright says that after three years of retirement, it's her perfect job.
Three to five days a week, tutors provide intensive daily tutoring to children in the 25 to 50 percent of grade level in math and reading using a research-based, data-driven approach to accelerate the student's learning.
"The goal," Karen explains, "is to move them into grade level and help them achieve all they're capable of."

Find the school you prefer (you can apply to more than one school) here.
About 30 positions, each paying $18/hour, are still open.
According to the posted job information, tutors will provide frequent tutoring support to students during their regular school day.
Applicants should have Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (Para) or Substitute Teaching License, or
Experience: Previous experience working with children (classroom, camps, tutoring, volunteer, etc.).
"Let's help Evanston live up to its reputation by providing instruction and support to all its children," Karen says.
Thanks for sharing, Karen!
