Producemobile will distribute free food Tue, July 28
The next Producemobile food distribution event will take place from 9:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28 in the Levy Center parking lot, 300 Dodge.
During the pandemic, the Producemobile, which is sponsored by Interfaith Action of Evanston, The Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the City of Evanston, will distribute 17,000 to 18,000 pounds of meat, produce, and dairy, according to the City's website.

Need food?
If you and your family need help, just come to the Levy Center. Make sure to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
The Producemobile will come to Evanston every second and fourth Tuesday in August and September (August 11, August 25, September 8, September 22).
Can you volunteer?
The Producemobile is looking for volunteers! All volunteering will take place outside and face coverings are required. Sign up to volunteer for one of the following tasks or contact Rita for more information.
Box Haulers
Must be able to lift and transport boxes weighing 25-36 lbs. Shift: 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Produce Packers
Pack boxes with assorted produce.
Shift: 8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Drive-Up Line Control Must be 18 or older. Help direct vehicles lining up for food on the section of Mulford St. within the Levy Center/James Park area (NOT on Dodge). Traffic vests provided.
Shift: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. General Eligibility Have not been exposed to, nor shown any symptoms of, COVID-19 for 14 days previous to, and including, the day of the Producemobile.
