Health officials today announced 2,268 new known cases of the coronavirus. There were also 87 additional deaths confirmed, bringing the death toll to 4,607 since the pandemic began. Statewide, there have been 102,686 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Illinois also has hit its highest total for the number of COVID-19 tests administered in a single day, officials said.
