Today is Earth Day

Today is Earth Day and Citizens' Greener Evanston has an outstanding array of inclusive, intersectional programs today, tomorrow, and Saturday.

Citizens' Greener Evanston, in conjunction with Evanston Public Library, Rotary International and others, presents a series of online sessions today and tomorrow, and a Saturday morning, April 24 legislative session.

These include “Lunch and Learn” sessions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., afternoon/evening sessions starting at 4 p.m.

"We've worked hard to feature inclusive, intersectional programming," said CGE President Rachel Rosner.

"Especially our Green Schools panel, Environmental Justice panel, Thursday evening's session on land acknowledgements followed by a conversation with [Mayor-elect] Daniel Biss, and on Friday evening, Commissioner Deb Shore will discuss water justice and Evanston Fight for Black Lives will discuss Community Gardens for Black Liberation."
