The event will take place on Facebook Live from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Facebook Live on the Evanston City Clerk FB page.
City Clerk Devon Reid will facilitate a roundtable discussion with guests:
Evanston Police Department Chief Demitrous Cook
Open Society Foundation Fellow and former Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar
Northwestern University's African American Studies Professor Dr. Chris Harris
Clinical Professor of Law at Northwestern University and Director of the Community Justice and Civil Rights Clinic Sheila Bedi; and
Adam Marquardt, an ETHS 2018 graduate, community activist ,and police abolitionist who was recommended by the organizers at Evanston Fight for Black Lives.
There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
