10 a.m: Evanston Own It on Radio La Difference
Kimberly Holmes-Ross and Advocates for Action will talk about gun violence with Evanston Own It's founders Patricia A Efiom, Pastor Monte' L. G. Dillard, Sr., and Hon. Delores Holmes.
Evanston Own It is a group of faith leaders and City officials that encourages residents to claim ownership of their home, block and community by adhering to the “Evanston Own It” proclamation: every resident deserves to live in a safe, caring community and take ownership of everything that happens throughout the city.

11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m: Evanston Food Drive
Evanston Food Drive, organized by Evanston Township High School (ETHS) grads Grace Sarkor and Parker English.
If you have non-perishable food items to donate, drop it off from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
If you need food, pick it up from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The drive will take place at ETHS parking lot 1 on Dodge.
noon to 3 p.m: Black August Garage Sale
Black August Garage Sale, organized by a group of Northwestern University students in collaboration with For Members Only (FMO), Fossil Free Northwestern, Students Organizing for Labor Rights (SOLR), NU Thrift, and Friends Who Earring.
All proceeds will go to support Black community orgs and SOLR’s fund for service workers at NU.
