Our buses are heading to Selma, Alabama. We’re going to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge together. As we drive, we’re listening to a recording of Dr. King’s Selma speech, or “Our God is Marching on (How Long, Not Long). “We ain’t gonna let nobody turn us around.”
How long? Not long, because no lie can live forever.
How long? Not long, you shall reap what you sow.
How long? Not long, because the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.
