A poem by Lenny Kaplan, written at midnight as our two buses caravanned south to Montgomery, Alabama, followed the whole way by the bright light of the full moon (and the not-so-pleasant green ceiling lights of the bus--hence the "green glow" Lenny references).

Truth seekers bathed in a green glow
With restless sleep under a full moon
Journey to a complicated land
Of exclusion and death but also of family and memory
Brothers and sisters sharing a dream of honesty and peace
