ECF's "Evanston Community Rapid Response Fund" Launches

March 19, 2020

The Evanston Community Foundation has launched the Evanston Community Rapid Response Fund to foster a unified philanthropic response to address the impact of COVID-19 in Evanston. Several initial funders have partnered to seed the fund, including the Finnegan Family FoundationNorthwestern University Dance Marathon 2020, and Hagerty Consulting.

ECF reports that it is working closely with community-based organizations to identify how to strategically use these funds to support community needs as they evolve and asks everyone who is able to give contribute to the fund.

Contributions will help ensure that Evanston's most vulnerable populations are protected.

"With your support, ECF will work to provide flexible resources to organizations working with community members who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and the economic consequences of the outbreak," ECF Executive Director Monique Jones said yesterday.
